Meet RALPH

Rafael Salamanca Jr. grew up in the Bronx during the height of the crack epidemic — and he never forgot where he came from. He’s spent his life fighting to make sure our families are safer, healthier, and better off than the generation before.

As Chair of the City Council Land Use Committee, Rafael delivered big wins: thousands of units of deeply affordable housing, community-first development, and investments in long-neglected neighborhoods. He took on the toughest fights — and won.

Now, he's ready to bring that same leadership to Borough Hall.
